We are a husband and wife team who, after a decade of frequenting coffee shops in the cities we lived or traveled, decided to launch our own roasting company.

Initially we considered a brick & mortar space, but along the way we came to prefer and value the first cup of the day as an experience in our own kitchen.

In a culture obsessed with speed and convenience, it doesn’t take an expert to realize that this hasn’t translated into an increased sense of meaning in our lives. We feel compelled to push back a little in our own way. While it may seem like a relatively insignificant matter, learning to slow down and pay attention to a process like making coffee ties into a way of seeing the world, of caring for oneself, and ultimately, caring for others.

As our curiosity about coffee expanded we diligently pursued sourcing and roasting as a means of connection to new folks in our local community and beyond. The relational power of coffee continues to weave people and stories into our lives.

We continue to roast coffee for the enjoyment of our family and yours. It is our hope that each cup be shared slowly, around the kitchen table, with great food and conversation.
